API – Incident management for justitia.swiss
We successfully completed an exciting software development project in the field of insurance compliance for our long-standing client, Europäische Reiseversicherung (ERV).
In light of the partially revised Insurance Supervision Act (VAG), the Association for Vocational Training in the Insurance Industry (VBV) has developed new minimum standards for the training and continuing education of insurance intermediaries.
This also introduced a requirement to provide proof when taking out insurance policies.

Whenever an insurance policy is taken out, it is now necessary to carefully verify whether the broker is qualified to issue the policy in question. To this end, the certification of the employee handling the transaction is checked—either in the FINMA register or the VBV industry register, depending on the type of broker.
The insurance policy will only be approved if the existence of a valid certification can be confirmed; otherwise, it will be blocked.

To ensure traceability in the event of an audit, database queries and responses are logged.
