Booking engine
An insurance configurator that enables end customers to take out insurance independently.
We were able to implement the first "STIP" application for ERV back in 2006. The Booking Engine followed shortly afterwards in 2008.
Ten years later, in 2018, the booking engine was completely modernized and brought up to the latest technical standards.
Europäische Reise Versicherung, ERV for short, has been a loyal customer of ours for many years. We have been able to implement a number of challenging projects together in recent years.
The Bookine engine is one of the most exciting projects, as end customers take out insurance online according to their own needs.
Intelligent, server-side validation of the customer's entries is used to determine exactly which insurance is the best, taking the customer's wishes into account.
The Booking Engine had its last major curtain change in summer 2021, when the entire application was redesigned.
During this sub-project, the entire front end accessible to end customers was redesigned and adapted to ERV's new design guidelines.
In addition, many functions have been optimized and automated as much as possible.
This includes clean user guidance through to the actual purchase process via the "payment service provider" Postfinance Checkout and subsequent automated dispatch of the completed insurance policy by e-mail.
In addition, the ERV Booking Engine was developed in 4 languages to reach all potential customers throughout Switzerland.
The Booking Engine also has a feature-rich backend, which enables ERV itself to carry out all possible product configurations and other settings independently via a graphical user interface.
ERV partners and employees can be recorded and managed with various user-specific roles via the backend.
Every day, the Booking Engine automatically delivers a large collection of concluded insurance policies to ERV for further internal processing.
Partner API
The Partner API booking engine was developed at the end of 2021 and enables ERV partner companies to take out ERV insurance offers for their customers conveniently and extremely quickly using a RESTful or web API.
In the first further development of the API in fall 2022, a powerful offer feature was added to the Partner API.
This enables API users to send their own customers insurance quotes by e-mail within a few seconds, thereby increasing sales figures in the long term.
In addition, numerous manual processes that would have had to be carried out by ERV employees are no longer necessary.
This feature has reduced the time it takes to create a quote from several working days to less than five minutes, saving resources at all ends.
